At some point in the last six weeks, you’ve probably given at least a little thought to your association’s policies and bylaws — and maybe even wondered if they’re passively promoting racism within your organization.

We want to help you do better.

On Tuesday, July 28, we’re hosting an introductory workshop to teach you how to identify the racist policies, bylaws and practices in your association that passively and actively allow inequities to continue.

We want “Rooting out racism: How to get started at your association,” to be a resource to help guide those conversations.

This conversation will be a starting point for those unsure of where to begin, and a welcome space for those who have already started this process to share their experiences.

We’re bringing in Maxine Crump, CEO of Dialogue on Race Louisiana, to lead this workshop.

All registrants will be asked to review and agree to our Community Guidelines. Registrants also will be provided a link to a short video to review ahead of the workshop.

To support the organizations making this possible, we’re asking for an optional donation. One hundred percent of all donations will go to Dialogue on Race Louisiana and Color of Change.

Let’s work together to make the association industry a healthier, more equitable place for us all.
