David E. Elliott
David loves the field of adult learning because it provides an opportunity for him to help individuals and teams move closer to reaching their goals and full potential. After more than 15 years working with non-governmental organizations and the higher education sector, David is now focusing his efforts on social/peer-to-peer learning and social innovation.
By facilitating meetings, workshops, hosting webinars and podcast, and designing conferences, David creates opportunities for sharing, communication, reflection, learning and co-creation. He aims to create learning experiences and to recognize the unique gifts that participants bring to a gathering. He wants to help you find your solutions.
Collaborating on meaningful projects energizes David, particularly when values and interests are shared in areas such as, creativity, innovation, experimentation, optimism, generosity, courage, life long learning, learning from other disciplines, synergy, co-creation and learning from failure.
All of David’s work is grounded in years of experience, continuous life-long learning and formal education. He is a graduate from the University of Guelph (BSc and MSc), St Francis Xavier University (Adult Education Certificate), he earned his Foundations in Design Thinking certificate from IDEO-U in 2017 and is a Certified Training and Development Professional (CTDP) through The Institute for Performance and Learning (I4PL). He also serves as the Chair for the I4PL Ottawa-Gatineau Chapter. Over the last 20 years he has worked and volunteered in Canada, Kenya, Tanzania, Cameroon, Italy and Vietnam.
